Front driven axle in development

From the beginning of our journey with RC tractor conversions, it was clear to us that sooner or later it would be necessary to design a front driven axle to offer full all-wheel drive. Although there are many ready-made solutions, neither of them seemed to be suitable for us.

The opening image and video below show an initial visualization of our new axle. We are currently in the process of producing a verification sample.

Because we have control of the overall development of the axle, we will describe here some of the key features that our axle has:

  • Locked differential - The engine power is transmitted to both wheels equally. This ensures more traction, but on the other hand it does not allow the wheels to turn at different speeds.
  • Steel frame - The axle frame is made of steel and will be attached to the tractor body by using ball bearings.
  • Rolling fit - All shafts and rotating elements are mounted on bearings for smooth motion
  • Modular design - The axle will be offered in several different versions. They will differ in equipment: driven x non-driven, different widths, end x through type.
  • One engine - We rejected the solution with two engines (each in one wheel) because the axle on the tractor looks very bulky when viewed from the front.
  • Size - Suitable for Bruder 3000 and 4000 series tractors and similar vehicles in scale 1:14 to 1:16.
